Language and Culture Carnival

Today, I had an outdoor assignment. Miss Zu asked all of us to interview a few peoples at the Language and Culture Carnival. Taufik, Din, Fadzli, Syazwan and I are in one  group. I bought fried ice cream. Then I asked them how to do the fried ice cream.

They actually doesn't know the actual recipes because they order from the supplier at Senai, Johor. But, from what can be seen is that the ice cream wrapped with bread. Then, it is left in the freezer to freeze. After that, the bread with the ice cream can be fry into hot oil. Then, you can enjoy your food. Its very delicious. You should try it. It has assorted flavours and the price is just RM2.50 each.

After that, we go to English Language and Culture booth. Even though we come a little bit late and they are about to closed the booth, they still can entertain us. They shows professionalism. This booth focus more on childhoods memories. Some of the activity that they did is wrist and hand painting like tattoo and Snow White. Snow White is the activity where someone will be make up like a Snow White by another person. Then, everyone can take picture with him or her.

So, these are some of the booths that I have visited. There are still many booths I didn't visit because I have another class after that.

Today, I watched movie that is really inspiring anyone who watch it. 127 Hours movie was inspired from a true story of a person called Aron Ralston. I never heard of this movie before and that's makes me exited to watched this movie. I'll give some review about this incredible movie.

                                                        

This movie is about Aron who loves adventure so much. That can be seen in the movie that he went canyoneering alone. He cycled, walked and ran to along his journey. He loves adventure so much even when he had an accident while cycling, he still can smile and took picture of himself.

SMILE... :)

Aron is a brave man. He travelled the canyon by himself. He also did blind jump into the underground pool. His braveness also showed when he cut off his arms to get out of the canyon that has trapped him for five days.

He did try to escape but in vain. He tried to pull the boulder that fall on his arm. This movie also told me that in desperate situation one may do whatever it takes to survives. Aron drank his own urine when he ran out of water supply and cut off his own arm.

Aron is also a calm person. It is important for ones to remains calm when facing problem. Aron remains calm and try to figure the ways out. He did not rushing in doing hard decision. He waited for five days before decided to cut his arm.

Time for on-line quizzes....

Hi...

Today, Miss Zu divided us into two groups. The first group is named Bizarre and my group is named Calloh Callay. The quizzes is about grammar. We review what we have learnt  last semester but sadly when Miss Zu asked what is past participle, no one can answer it including me. For example, the past participle for the verb 'eat' is eaten. Therefore, Miss Zu gives us assignment. We must list down 100 words of regular verb and 100 words of irregular verb together with their past tense and past participle.huuuhuuu

So, back to the quizzes. Both groups did not gives any chances to each other to leading the game. However, my group manage to answer all questions correctly and won the game and leave our competitor far behind when they failed to answer a 1000 points questions. The losing group stood and gives claps to the winning team. The most important things here is we all learnt from mistakes and try to improve our English. I really love this kind of activities. It gives you satisfaction when you answer all questions correctly and won the game even though you are not win any prizes. But, I do get the most valuable prize that is knowledge.

Salam....

Today, I become an actor. Even though my acting is not good as Aaron Aziz, but it is good enough to make the whole class laugh. Eira, Leyha, Hanis, Nina and I were in one group. We must choose any scenes from any movies directed by Malaysia's legend artist, Tan Sri P.Ramli. My group has chose the scene at school from Pendekar Bujang Lapuk.

I am playing Pak Abu. Pak Abu is just an extra actor but play a big role in this  scene. His laugh will make you laughing until you burst your tummy..HAHAHA.

There is still other group better than my group. That group has won The Best Group. The best actor goes to Taufik.We call him Haron Ajiz. Actually, I was nominated in this award. Maybe I laugh too much, that's why I lose to a fake astronomy. The best actress goes to  Nabila.

Congratulations to all  winner. Even  though none of my group's member won any awards, we all had enjoyment joining this activity. I feel great after do this activity. That's all..Good bye..See you..

first week....

Assalammualaikum w.b.t.

We started the class by introduce our partner to the lecturer and the whole class. We were asked to tell his or her bio data and then tell 4 facts about  he or she and one of the facts is a lie. My partner is Elya Fozi. 

Three true facts are:

• Her blood type is 0+.
• Her nickname given by her cousin is 'pembaris' means ruler...maybe because she believe whatever her cousin words.
• And she cannot pronounce letter 'R' properly.

And a lie about her  is her star sign is Gemini. Her real star sign is Cancer.

On the next class, we did an outdoor activity. This activity requires all of us to speak in English with our classmates. We stand in two circle and faced each other. The first topic is about knowing your friends. Then we talked about football. After that, I suggested that we talk about favourite movie. This activity can help build confident to speak in English and improve our grammar.


The next class is a night class on Friday's night. Even though we don't have any classes for the whole day, I feel tired because we had to attend extra curricular activity from 5p.m. until 7p.m. However, our happy go lucky lecturer knows how to overcome this situation.


That night I learnt about contextual clues. I learnt many new words that I never heard before such buffoon, bizarre and more. Then we were divided into 5 groups. Each group got 12 questions. My group manage to answer all question correctly.CALLOH CALLAY
